Sure you can have complex arpeggios and sequences due to the modular architecture but people don't care about that stuff when making music. I've used Avenger in track and that was for the drum machine built into it. Maybe in terms of features but Serum and Omnisphere 2 blow this thing away! It's not the best VST synth on the planet. Omnisphere is pretty sweet for scoring and atmospheric stuff, though. Omnisphere 2 has added some cool wavetable stuff too.
